The Mobile Meter® Software Test Instrument App converts Android® based phones and tablets into a multi-function test instrument, which measures and logs differential pressure, air velocity, volumetric air flow, temperature, and humidity. The app is available for download in the Google play™ Store or by visiting our mobile apps page on our website. Wireless probes connect to the phone or tablet using our mobile gateway, Model UHH-BTG, that utilizes wireless technology from Bluetooth SIG Inc. Parameters from multiple probes can be displayed simultaneously, or a single probe’s parameters can be displayed as a meter or analog gage. Measurements from a single probe can be saved to log files for future use. Log files can be viewed directly on the phone or e-mailed to another device or computer. The Mobile Meter® Software App does the conversions for engineering units and calculations for flow or air velocity conversions.
News Publisher Mike Murphy stated:
These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions.
Dywer Instruments, Inc. Vice President of Sales and Engineering, Mark Fisher stated:
We are honored to receive the 2014 Dealer Design Award for our innovative Mobile Meter® Software App. The Mobile Meter® is a first-of-its-kind product that converts smart phones into a test instrument. It is not merely a remote display of the readings for a test instrument, but instead is the actual instrument. It adds value by improving accuracy of HVAC reports, decreases the time it takes to create the reports and take the measurements, and reduces the amount of equipment that the HVAC contractor has to carry with him to a project site.
Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 21, 2014 issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to over 33,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers, and other industry professionals. For more information and further coverage, visit www.achrnews.com.
